When Edelbrock decides to manufacture a product line, it's done first class, with the best machinery, materials and personnel. The Performer IAS mono-tube shocks are no exception to this rule. A 45,000 sq. ft. building in Torrance, California is dedicated to the production of Edelbrock mono tube shocks. The list of machinery includes custom-built computerized equipment designed to produce shocks with consistent results in a very efficient manner. Every mono tube shock coming off the production line is tested with a computer-controlled dyno that tests one every 15 seconds. Before a mono tube shock gets to the production phase, it goes through a rigorous development cycle using a shock dynamometer, then extensive road testing. Edelbrock engineers graph relationships such as force vs. velocity and force vs. displacement, allowing our engineers to fine tune a shock to a vehicle. By the time a Performer IAS shock is bolted to a vehicle, it has been tuned specifically for that application. Durability tests are completed on a custom machine designed and built by Edelbrock. Here, Performer IAS mono tube shocks are tested for the equivalent of 100,000 miles, then each component is checked for wear. This ensures that our shocks have what it takes for a lifetime guarantee of performance.
